Mosaic (MOC) has intersected up to 0.40-per-cent nickel over 15 m on the Gaboury Project in Quebec.

The result stems from hole GA-21-07, which is located 1.8 km west of the original Pike Nickel area. It graded 0.26-per-cent nickel over 165 m, including 121.5 m grading 0.32 per-cent nickel.

Hole GA-21-08, located 300 m to the west, revealed three sections of 13.5 m at 0.31-per-cent nickel, 16.8 m at 0.26-per-cent nickel and 18.2 m at 0.23-per-cent nickel in a nickel-bearing envelope.

Hole GA-21-01 – carried out under historic hole GA-11-08 to verify its potential at depth –  revealed a grade of 0.21-per-cent nickel over 122.9 m, including 70.9 m grading 0.25-per-cent nickel.

Hole GA-21-06, located in the Pike East Area, revealed an anomalous nickel presence over more than 50 m. It also intersected a previously unknown gold zone grading 2.54 g/t gold over 1.65 m including 4.62 g/t gold over 0.8 m.

The potential nickel corridor is now more than 3.2 km along the previously identified magnetic anomaly. Mosaic is considering a fifteen-hole, 5,000 m drill program throughout the anomaly in the near future.

The company has the right to acquire up to 80 per cent of Gaboury from Fokus Mining.

“These first results bring a whole new dimension to Gaboury’s potential,” stated Jonathan Hamel, Mosaic’s CEO. “Of course, more drilling will have to be undertaken to test its continuity, which seems to be directly related to the magnetic anomaly crossing the Gaboury property for more than 7 km.”

Mosaic Minerals explores strategic copper, nickel and zinc deposits in Quebec.

Mosaic (MOC) is up by 25 per cent and is currently trading at $0.125 per share as of 10:24 am EST.
