Mountain Boy Minerals’ (MTB) most recent fieldwork results extended high-grade copper on the Theia project in British Columbia.

The company shared the fieldwork was designed to follow up on a known copper occurrence. This area was later called the Bria zone, where the company recently sampled a 1.4-kilometre trend which showed a copper value of 5.39 per cent.

Additionally, further work was done around the Theia silver zone, where a new copper occurrence was identified on the western part of the property. Specifically, Mountain Boy extended mineralization in the northwest, where samples returned trace amounts of copper, zinc, and lead.

Lawrence Roulston, President and CEO of Mountain Boy, commented,

“The widespread mineralization across the property appears to suggest several overlapping mineralizing systems. There is scope for copper-gold and also for silver-dominant mineralization.”

The company’s next steps will focus on identifying specific targets for drilling, and already has the necessary drill permits in place.

The property lies on a focus area for the company

The 90 square kilometre Theia property is located in the Golden Triangle of British Columbia, north of the Dolly Varden silver mine. The first comprehensive exploration work on the property began after Mountain Boy’s 2020 consolidation of the property.

Mountain Boy Minerals (MTB) is up 7.41 per cent, trading at $0.15 per share as of 12:31 p.m. EST.
