Mountain Boy Minerals (MTB) will begin its drill program at the American Creek gold-silver project by the end of the month.

The American Creek Project is a 2,600-hectare property in British Columbia that contains the Mountain Boy silver mine.

The company is currently conducting detailed structural mapping in addition to underground mapping and sampling at the property.

Mapping at the silver mine has discovered several new mineralized areas north of the previously discovered High-Grade zone.

Assays are pending for samples taken at this new zone.

Drilling will target four areas: the High-Grade zone, the newly discovered extension of the High-Grade zone, the Four Bees zone, and the Maybee zone to the north.

Mountain Boy also announced a new collaboration with the Geological Survey of Canada (GSC), the British Columbia Geological Survey (BCGS), and the Mineral Deposit Research Unit (MDRU) at the University of British Columbia.

The company and its partners will focus on the research of critical elements, including copper, using samples from the company’s Telegraph Project.

Lucia Theny, VP of Exploration, commented on the collaboration.

“I am very excited to collaborate with the GSC, BCGS and MDRU as their expertise and advanced analytical methods will be tremendously helpful for the next stage of exploration on the project.”

Mountain Boy Minerals is an exploration company with six active projects in the Golden Triangle of northern British Columbia.

Mountain Boy Minerals Ltd. (MTB) is up 2.78 per cent, trading at $0.185 per share as of 2:10 pm ET.
