Murchison Minerals (MUR) has reported the nickel-copper-cobalt assay results from the Barre de Fer Zone on its Haut-Plateau de la Manicouagan Project.

The results from hole BDF22-002 showed the near-surface, high-grade nature of the zone and the potential for future expansion of the zone. The hole intersected two broad zones of nickel-copper-cobalt sulphide-bearing mineralization covering 175.15 metres of composite thickness. Grades were as high as 9.59 per cent copper equivalent.

These results have made BDF22-002 the best drill hole intersection on the HPM Property so far, which was drilled 120 metres along strike to the north of the previous best hole.

Murchison’s President and CEO, Troy Boisjoli, commented,

“These results demonstrate the significance of the BDF Zone and overall potential of the HPM Project… The opportunity is compounded for Murchison by the fact there is significant pre-existing infrastructure like a maintained highway, rail, and available hydropower all within kilometres of our site.”

Results continue to show a strong correlation between previously released results and lab assays.

Murchison’s Vice President of Exploration, John Shmyr, added,

“The team is eagerly progressing on the maiden resource at the BDF Zone, and today’s results will be a substantial contributor to that initial resource estimate.”

Murchison Minerals Ltd. (MUR) is up 35 per cent, trading at $0.13 per share as of 2:51 p.m. EST.
