Nano One Materials (NANO) has been granted three new patents extending the protection on its One-Pot process and LNMO cathode materials.

The company received a notice of allowance for Canadian Patent Application 3,023,602 with issuance expected in the near future. This patent will extend the protection related to specific components of Nano One’s One-Pot manufacturing process for cathode materials.

The recently issued Chinese Patent 2017100669194 joins a family of related patents already issued in the U.S., Canada, Taiwan, Japan and Korea. This patent extends the protection for a powder manufactured using the One-Pot process.

The U.S. Patent 11,018,331 joins a related patent issued in Taiwan to cover a novel method for phosphate stabilizing lithium-ion battery cathodes. The method enables elevated operating temperatures typical in electric vehicle batteries.

The company’s patent portfolio now includes 19 issued patents in jurisdictions including Canada, the United States, Taiwan, China, Japan and Korea. Nano One also has over 35 patent applications currently pending.

Nano One Materials is a clean technology company focused on the production of high-performance lithium-ion battery cathode materials.

Nano One Materials (NANO) is up by 5.03 per cent and is currently trading at $4.59 per share as of 12:51 pm ET.
