Nerds On Site (CSE:NERD) has revealed the launch of a new subsidiary to transform contract recruitment.

In a news release, the Toronto-based company stated its new division, NOS Technical Services, will leverage the government and pharmaceutical sectors through its state-of-the-art artificial intelligence (AI).

The company stated the new division is expected to launch in June and is projected to generate US$10 million in revenue streams within the first 24 months. The new division will offer accuracy in talent placement to meet the growing demand for specialized contract roles.

“We are so excited to be adding NOS Technical Services to our offerings. It represents a key integrated offering for Nerds On Site, addressing the changing and dynamic needs of the workplace,” Charlie Regan, CEO of Nerds on Site, said in a statement. “Our investment reflects confidence in AI’s power to transform recruitment, providing our clients with the precision and expertise needed for crafting their future workforce.”

Thursday’s announcement comes on the heels of Nerds On Site merging with Nerds On Call in early February, aimed at including digital and physical assets of Nerds On Call to strengthen the combined entity’s position in the North American market.

“By integrating Nerds On Call’s Clients, we expand our USA footprint, as well as providing our proven integrated on-site – remote support system that can be offered in markets we presently don’t serve,” Regan said. “We’re not just expanding our resources but also fortifying our commitment to provide unparalleled IT and cybersecurity services to our clients.”

Nerds On Site is a cybersecurity and IT services provider serving clients across Canada and the U.S.

Shares of Nerds on Site are up 8.33 per cent to C$0.065 as of 10:51 am ET.
