New Found Gold Corp. (NFG) has announced its high-grade gold findings from its drill program at the Keats Zone on its Queensway Project.

The 39 holes were drilled to further define and expand the network of high-grade gold veins and associated structures at the Keats Zone.

A gap in the drilling at the north end of the Keats-Baseline Fault Zone (KBFZ) was recently tested. According to New Found Gold, intercepts met at this zone extended the high-grade gold mineralization to surface for this area and is indicative of a wide spread prospective veining system.

Targeting at the south end of Keats found more high-grade gold mineralization which the company believes is associated with a large zone which may help localize gold. This area and its projected intersections with the Appleton (AFZ) and KBFZ have become the company’s highest priority for its ongoing drilling.

New Found Gold stated almost half of the 400,000-metre drill program at Queensway has been completed with roughly 21,700 metres of the core still pending assay results.

“Our team is working tirelessly to keep the drills focused on expanding the zones discovered to date… six more drills are systematically testing along the north segment of the AFZ,” Melissa Render, New Found Gold’s Vice President of Exploration, said.

The company is planning to further increase its operating drill count to 14 rigs.

New Found Gold Corp. (NFG) is up 0.56 per cent trading at $7.20 per share as of 4:21 p.m. ET.
