NFI Group (TSX:NFI) partners with New Zealand’s Kiwi Bus Builders

NFI Group (NFI) has partnered with Kiwi Bus Builders to build electric buses in New Zealand.

The company’s subsidiary Alexander Dennis Limited will build two three-axle single-deck electric buses for Howick & Eastern by Transdev for use on Auckland Transport services.

ADL’s partner Kiwi Bus Builders will assemble the buses in its local facility.

The company has previously delivered 16 buses to New Zealand to date.

New Zealand is preparing to fully transition its bus fleet to zero-emission vehicles by 2035 to help meet the country’s 2050 carbon neutral target.

NFI is focused on the electrification of mass mobility with zero-emission buses and coaches, infrastructure and technology. The company’s battery-electric and fuel-cell electric vehicles are in more than 80 cities in four countries and have completed over 23 million electric service miles.

NFI Group (NFI) is up by 0.86 per cent and is currently trading at C$27.13 per share as of 9:37 am ET.
