Geiger Energy (TSXV:BEEP) has made its second uranium discovery in two weeks at its 95,500-hectare Aberdeen project in Nunavut.

The first discovery at the Fox target, announced on September 1st, hosts 50 metres yielding up to 500 counts per second (cps) beginning at 173 m depth along strike from Orano’s Kiggavik deposit, whose resource stand at ~133 million pounds of uranium.

The second, at the Apollo target, located 10 kilometres to the northwest, intersected two zones reading up to 400 cps beginning at 206 m depth in drillhole APL26-001, representing only one of three gravity-low anomalies on the target extending for a collective 3.7 km, while matching Fox, Kiggavik and the encompassing Thelon Basin’ signature geology of clay, bleaching, limonite, sooty sulphides and hematite on reactivated fault structures.

Geiger notes in Monday’s news release that Fox, Apollo and Kiggavik sit on the Andrew Lake Fault, which runs for 17 km across the Aberdeen project and holds the potential to form part of a new uranium district akin to Saskatchewan’s world-class Athabasca Basin, with numerous associated anomalies to be tested in 2026.

Leadership commentary

“Two grassroots targets, two discoveries each with the first hole,” Rebecca Hunter, President and Chief Executive Officer of Geiger Energy, said in a statement. “That is not luck. It is the targeting model doing exactly what we said it would do at Aberdeen. Kiggavik, Fox and Apollo sit on one structure, with the same alteration and the same style of mineralization. Orano’s trend runs onto our ground, and we have now proven it is fertile in two places, ten kilometres apart. With more than 50 targets across Aberdeen and a basin that is shallow and wide open, we believe this is the beginning of a new uranium district.”
