NVIDIA Corp. (NDAQ:NVDA) has risen to become the world’s most valuable company, surpassing Microsoft (NDAQ:MSFT).

The chipmaker recently overtook tech giant Apple Inc. (NDAQ:AAPL) in market capitalization earlier this month. The semiconductor and AI powerhouse has seen its stock soar by more than 180 per cent sine the year began, driven by the surging demand for AI technologies. In Thursday’s premarket trading, NVIDIA’s stock climbed another 2.9 per cent.

The semiconductor company’s market performance is seen as a testament to the rapidly growing significance of artificial intelligence across various sectors. NVIDIA’s GPUs and AI computing capabilities are at the heart of this transformation, powering applications from data centers to autonomous vehicles, and now, the next wave of generative AI innovations.

NVIDIA and HPE Launch AI computing portfolio

In the midst of this growth, NVIDIA has unveiled a significant collaboration with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NYSE:HPE) to launch NVIDIA AI Computing by HPE, a comprehensive suite of AI solutions designed to streamline the deployment and management of AI workloads for enterprises.

One of the standout offerings in this portfolio is HPE Private Cloud AI, a pioneering solution that deeply integrates NVIDIA’s AI computing, networking, and software with HPE’s AI storage, compute, and HPE GreenLake cloud services. This unique combination provides businesses of all sizes with a robust, energy-efficient, and flexible platform for developing and deploying generative AI applications.

HPE Private Cloud AI is tailored to enhance enterprise efficiency and sustainability, featuring the new OpsRamp AI copilot. This tool leverages AI to optimize IT operations, boosting workload efficiency and providing a seamless self-service cloud experience with full lifecycle management. The solution is available in four configurations to support a wide range of AI workloads and use cases, making it adaptable to various enterprise needs.

Integration and global collaboration

NVIDIA AI Computing by HPE intends to be more than just a product, but a comprehensive go-to-market strategy that spans global sales teams, channel partners, and a network of system integrators, including Deloitte, HCLTech, Infosys, TCS, and Wipro. These collaborations aim to assist enterprises across different industries in managing complex AI workloads efficiently.

Announced at the HPE Discover keynote by HPE President and CEO Antonio Neri and NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang, this initiative speaks to the long-standing partnership between the two tech giants. “Generative AI holds immense potential for enterprise transformation,” Neri said in a news release, emphasizing the need for integrated solutions to mitigate risks and barriers that currently impede large-scale AI adoption.

Huang highlighted the transformative power of generative AI and accelerated computing, stating, “Never before have NVIDIA and HPE integrated our technologies so deeply. This collaboration equips enterprise clients with the most advanced computing infrastructure to push the boundaries of AI.”

Innovative AI infrastructure and support

HPE Private Cloud AI provides support for various AI workloads, including inference, fine-tuning, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation that utilize proprietary data. It aims to ensure enterprise control over data privacy, security, and compliance, offering a cloud experience enhanced by ITOps and AIOps capabilities for increased productivity.

The foundational AI and data software stack of HPE Private Cloud AI is built on the NVIDIA AI Enterprise software platform, featuring NVIDIA NIM inference microservices. This stack accelerates data science pipelines and simplifies the development and deployment of production-grade AI applications. Complementary tools from HPE AI Essentials software ensure that AI pipelines remain compliant, explainable, and reproducible.

To maximize performance, the integrated AI infrastructure includes NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet networking, HPE GreenLake for file storage, and HPE ProLiant servers, supporting NVIDIA’s latest GPUs and AI technologies.

Expanding the AI frontier

As NVIDIA continues to break new ground in AI, the company’s collaboration with HPE marks a milestone in making advanced AI technologies more accessible and manageable for enterprises worldwide. HPE Private Cloud AI, set to be generally available in the fall, promises to accelerate innovation and ROI while managing the risks associated with AI implementation.

This strategic partnership between NVIDIA and HPE exemplifies the evolving landscape of AI, where deep technological integration and global collaboration are key to unlocking the full potential of artificial intelligence for enterprise transformation. As AI continues to reshape industries, NVIDIA’s leadership and innovative solutions position it at the forefront of this transformative wave.
