Opawica (OPW) has isolated 14 high-priority drill targets on its Bazooka Property in Québec.

The company enlisted GoldSpot Discoveries (SPOT) to apply proprietary machine learning techniques within a strong geoscientific framework to analyze the property.

GoldSpot and the Opawica team integrated and reinterpreted geochemical, geophysical and geological datasets to facilitate drill targeting for Bazooka’s upcoming drill program. The updated geological model of the property now includes faults, fold events and lithostratigraphic units.

The companies assigned individual target scores to the 14 highly-favourable drill targets, which were normalized, weighted and ranked in order of priority for follow-up exploration.

Blake Morgan, Opawica’s CEO, sat down with Caroline Egan to discuss the results.

“The work done by GoldSpot and our Opawica team has exceeded expectations. It has revealed a large collection of high priority targets and we plan to drill all of them!”

GoldSpot Discoveries is a technology company using artificial intelligence to revolutionize the future of global mineral exploration.

Opawica Explorations is a junior Canadian exploration company with a portfolio of precious and base metal properties in Québec and Newfoundland and Labrador.

Opawica (OPW) is up by 3.37 per cent and is currently trading at $0.46 per share as of 9:30 am ET.
