Plant-based products company PlantX Life (VEGA) has entered into a strategic partnership with lifestyle brand Nootka & Sea.

Nootka describes itself as a business of apothecary and West Coast goods, located in Squamish, British Columbia. Much like PlantX, the company is committed to only using high-quality plant-based ingredients to make its products.

Through its retail location, Nootka sells various plant-based aromatherapy products, such as essential oils and diffusers. The business also sells men’s grooming products like beard care and scalp tonic, as well as home goods and curated gift boxes.

Such products from Nootka will be made available to order through the Beauty section of PlantX’s e-commerce platforms in Canada and the United States. The products should become available for purchase on these sites starting sometime this coming week.

Through the partnership, PlantX hopes to further expand its category verticals and strengthen its presence in the plant-based beauty and cosmetics market.

PlantX’s founder, Sean Dollinger, commented on what the company’s partnership with Nootka & Sea will bring to the business and its customers.

“We are aiming to be the digital face of the plant-based community, and as such we want to be able to carry and offer the very highest-quality products for our customers,” he said.

“This partnership will help us capitalise on this exciting market,” he added.

Conveniently, Nootka’s store is situated in close proximity to PlantX’s newly acquired brick-and-mortar store, which is also in Squamish.

PlantX’s CEO, Julia Frank, is very excited about the brand and location being so close to the company’s flagship store.

“With our distribution and resources as an e-commerce site, we believe we can turn this into one of our largest verticals,” she said.

PlantX Life is down 10.05 per cent and trading for C$1.79 per share, as of 10:17am EST.
