Probe Gold (PRB) has released the first set of results from the 2022 Pascalis gold trend drill program on its Novador project in Quebec.

These results are from the first 59 drill holes, totalling 11,200 metres. Within these holes, the company successfully confirmed the continuity of known gold zones through infill drilling.

David Palmer, President and CEO of Probe Gold, stated,

“In addition to strong grades, the deposits are showing excellent consistency and continuity in the mineralized zones, which builds confidence in these substantial development assets.”

Probe Gold also expanded near-surface gold mineralization at the Beliveau and North deposits on the project.

“At this stage of the project, with a large resource already in place, these results speak more to the continued growth in scale of the project and our ability to increase the projected annual production,” Palmer said.

New results put toward resource estimate

Additionally, the company stated an updated Pascalis mineral resource estimate is being worked on and will include the new results released today. The estimate will include the Belivea, North, and Courvan deposits, and the company will continue to advance the project.

Since 2016, Probe Gold has been consolidating its land position in the Val-d’Or East area of Quebec. Its land package stands are 436 square kilometres which is one of the largest in the area.

The Novador project is a sub-set of properties covering 175 square kilometres with three past-producing mines. Novador is said to be in a politically stable and low-cost mining environment that hosts numerous active producers and mills.

The project’s current resource estimate includes total gold resources of 3.16 million ounces for indicated and 1.99 million ounces of inferred.

Probe Gold (PRB) is up 2.96 per cent on the day, trading at C$1.39 per share at 12 pm ET.
