Blade Resources (CSE:AZCU) has received a green light to list its shares on the Canadian Securities Exchange on Monday, September 14th, offering investors exposure to the strategically located Hot Breccia copper project in Arizona.
This article is a journalistic opinion piece which has been written based on independent research. It is intended to inform investors and should not be taken as a recommendation or financial advice.
The 1,420-hectare project resides in the Arizona Copper Belt, within sight of Asarco‘s Hayden copper smelter and Freeport McMoRan’s Christmas Mine, with a report from Mindat stating the latter to have produced 55.3 million pounds of copper from 1905 to 1943. Other notables assets in the belt include Freeport’s Miami complex (1.6 billion tons at 0.63% copper) and BHP and Rio Tinto’s Resolution deposit (1.8 billion tons at 1.53% copper).
Bear Creek Mining, then a Kennecott subsidiary, in partnership with Conoco, undertook historic exploration at Hot Breccia from 1972-1981, uncovering large-scale porphyry copper-skarn mineralization across multiple drillholes, though grade and tonnage were not determined.
Prismo Metals (CSE:PRIZ), a junior miner active in Mexico and Arizona, assigned its rights, interests and obligations on the project to Blade as part of a February 2026 transaction that made it the soon-to-be-listed company’s largest shareholder.
Alain Lambert, Chief Executive Officer of Prismo Metals, commented on the listing’s high upside potential, noting that, “in our opinion, the Silver King and Hot Breccia projects are some of the most compelling copper exploration opportunities in North America. With the listing of Blade Resources, our shareholders are now exposed to the upside of two significant copper exploration plays in Arizona.”
“We optioned Hot Breccia in January 2023 and advanced the project to a fully permitted, drill-ready stage. The principals and financial backers of Blade have a long history and strong track record in raising significant capital for exploration programs of the scale required at Hot Breccia,” Lambert added. “We look forward to Hot Breccia being drilled before the end of this year.”
