Quebec Nickel (QNI) has released an update on its exploration activities at the Ducros Group Nickel-Copper-PGE Project in Quebec.

The company will begin the first phase of its 2022 drill program at the Fortin Showing on January 18.

Drill targets were chosen based on results from the 2020 ground electromagnetic survey, the 2021 stripping and mapping program, and ongoing 3D geological modelling.

The company assured shareholders that further details of this Phase 1 program will be released in a separate press release before drilling begins.

In addition to 2022 drilling, the company has planned a 1,717-line kilometre VTEM airborne geological survey, with crews scheduled to mobilize to the property in the third week of January.

The primary objective of this work is to identify new Ni-Cu-PGE drill targets across the Ducros Group property holdings within areas that have seen limited past exploration.

Based on the results of the survey data interpretation, selective follow-up ground-truthing geophysical surveying, prospecting, and sampling will be conducted over high-priority electromagnetic conductors.
