Quebecor achieves all Freedom Mobile acquisition commitments

Quebecor (TSX:QBR.A) fulfilled all undertakings by its Videotron subsidiary’s acquisition of Freedom Mobile to Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED).

This comes a little more than a year after the acquisition of Freedom Mobile on April 3, 2023.

The Montréal-based communications company stated that the Progress Report on Fulfilment of Videotron’s Undertakings submitted to ISED describes its progress, including:

Quebecor intends to continue working with regulatory and government authorities to further strengthen competition.

A recent survey by Tefficient reported that Canadian telecom companies charge the highest rates compared with 44 countries worldwide.

Quebecor is an integrated communications company involved in telecommunications, entertainment, news media and culture with more than 70 years of history.

Quebecor (TSX:QBR.A) last traded at C$29.72 per share and its stock is 14.51 per cent lower over the past year.
