HIVE Blockchain (HIVE) has issued a series of corporate updates regarding its growth strategy.

The company’s Canadian expansion is progressing well with the construction of its data center in New Brunswick currently underway.

The data center will enable HIVE to deploy 20 MW of green and clean Bitcoin mining production capacity before the end of 2021. An additional 20 MW is on schedule to come online in Q1 2022.

HIVE expects to add 900 Petahash per second to its Bitcoin production through Canadian expansion, enabling it to mine a greater percentage of virgin coins.

The company is also announcing that effective September 14, 2021, its ticker on Nasdaq’s Capital Markets Exchange will change from HVBT to HIVE.

Frank Holmes, HIVE’s Executive Chairman, stated,

“I am thrilled that we will make it much easier for Hive Blockchain Technologies investors and traders in both Canada and the U.S. to have only one ticker. We are very thankful to NASDAQ in assisting us with acquiring the original symbol HIVE that relates to our name. This is important in branding and positioning our name in the minds and hearts of investors and traders as the first crypto mining company and only mining with green energy.”

HIVE Blockchain Technologies mines for Ethereum and Bitcoin in data centers in Canada, Sweden and Iceland.

HIVE Blockchain (HIVE) is down by 1.84 per cent and is currently trading at $3.73 per share as of 11:23 am ET.
