Royal Helium (RHC) has hired Alberta’s Arjae Design Solutions to build its Steveville helium recovery plant.

The plant will be located 40 km north of Brooks in southeastern Alberta.

Site preparation works and procurement of long-lead items are underway.

The plant’s operating throughput will range between 10-15 million cubic feet per day at a purity level of 99.999-per-cent helium. The facility will also produce food-grade carbon dioxide, high-value condensate and fuel gas to power ongoing operations.

Minimum delivery for Royal’s first multi-year, fixed-price sales agreement represents approximately 40 per cent of plant capacity.

“Facilitated by Obsidian Engineering of Calgary, we are pleased to award Arjae with the fabrication and commissioning of our first helium processing plant for Steveville,” stated Andrew Davidson, Royal Helium’s President and CEO. “Arjae’s proprietary engineering designs provide several substantial economic benefits to Royal over other helium separation plant designs.”

Royal Helium controls and develops over 1,000,000 acres of prospective helium land in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Royal Helium (RHC) is up by 3.19 per cent, trading at $0.2425 per share as of 12:51 pm EST.
