BlackBerry’s (TSX:BB) announced a major expansion of its secure communications platform, BlackBerry SecuSUITE, to include Windows laptops and workstations.
This move extends the company’s sovereign-grade security—already trusted by governments and critical infrastructure worldwide—to a broader range of devices, enabling seamless, secure collaboration across mobile and desktop environments.
With the introduction of BlackBerry SecuSUITE for Windows Desktop, users will now be able to securely communicate via voice, messaging, and file sharing from any device—whether on the move, at a primary workstation, or working remotely from a laptop. The platform ensures a consistent and intuitive workflow, allowing users to switch between devices without compromising security or usability.
“For end users, this means secure collaboration without disruption,” said BlackBerry in its announcement. “Whether reviewing documents on a larger screen, composing detailed messages with a keyboard, or coordinating in the field, SecuSUITE ensures all communications remain protected and seamlessly integrated.”
From an organizational standpoint, the expansion reinforces BlackBerry’s commitment to data sovereignty and operational flexibility. The platform’s independently certified architecture—validated by NIAP, NATO Restricted, BSI, and CSfC—now extends to Windows endpoints, ensuring that sensitive communications remain shielded from eavesdropping, identity spoofing, and metadata exploitation.
Deployment options include on-premises, private cloud, or hosted environments, giving agencies and enterprises full control over their data. This flexibility is especially critical for governments and industries managing mission-critical operations.
BlackBerry’s secure communications suite is already trusted by all G7 governments, 18 of the G20 nations, and 8 of the world’s top 10 banks. The addition of Windows support further cements its position as a leader in secure, cross-platform communication solutions.
BlackBerry SecuSUITE for Windows Desktop will be generally available in November 2025.
