Sirios (TSXV:SOI) hires Ménard Martel Consultants to manage the Cheechoo Gold Project

Sirios Resources (SOI) has signed a contract with Ménard Martel Consultants, a management firm specializing in mining projects.

Under the agreement, Ménard Martel Consultants (MMCI) president Samuel Martel will now act as project director for the Cheechoo Gold Project in Eeyou Istchee James Bay, Quebec.

Mr. Martel will report directly to Sirios’ president and will work with his colleagues, Mr. Robert Ménard and Ms. Catherine Ménard.

Dominique Doucet, founder and CEO of Sirios, commented on the agreement with MMCI.

“After several years of exploration on the Cheechoo project, I’m very happy to start a new stage in the life of the project with a team experienced in strategic project management joining Sirios that will help accomplish different steps furthering the project’s development.”

Mr. Martel has 15 years of experience in the engineering, construction, and mining industry. He has worked on different projects of all sizes in Canada, South America, Africa, and Greenland, and has expertise in project development, project leadership, construction management, engineering management, quality assurance and control, contract management, procurement, and project execution.

The latest resource estimate for the Cheechoo project estimated an inferred resource of 2.0 million ounces of gold contained in 93.0 million tonnes of rock at an average grade of 0.65 g/t gold.

Sirios has expressed its confidence in the potential to increase the project’s resource, which will be aided under Mr. Martel’s leadership of the project.

Sirios Resources is a Canadian company engaged in the exploration and evaluation of mineral resources. Its projects include Cheechoo, Aquilon, Niska, Solo, and Pontax.

Shares in Sirios Resources (SOI) are steady, trading at $0.07 per share as of 10:35 am ET.
