• SKRR Exploration (SKRR) has completed a phase one field work program at its Olson gold property in northern Saskatchewan
  • The work began in early June and was designed to define targets for a follow-up drill program later this year
  • It included an induced polarisation survey, as well as prospecting, mapping, infill soil geochemical sampling and channel sampling of trenches
  • The results of the program are now pending, with permitting requirements for the drill program also under way
  • SKRR Exploration (SKRR) is holding steady at C$0.30 per share

SKRR Exploration (SKRR) has completed a phase one field work program at its Olson gold property in northern Saskatchewan.

Located 100 kilometres east of La Ronge, the project hosts regionally-sheared, highly-strained meta-volcanic rocks which are considered to be prospective for orogenic gold mineralisation.

The property covers 29 mineral claims that were identified through previous geological mapping, prospecting, trenching and 4,700 metres of diamond drilling.

The site’s historical results include 2.07 grams per tonne of gold over 7.5 metres and 13 grams per tonne of gold over 0.65 metres. However, despite this previous work, the property is considered to be significantly under-explored.

As part of the Phase One program, SKRR Exploration contracted Discovery International Geophysics to complete a combined induced polarisation and DC resistivity survey over the Point, Tuscan and Juba regions.

Following this, Terralogic Exploration carried out a 13-day geological field campaign consisting of soil sampling, prospecting, field mapping and channel sampling. This was designed to delineate new areas of gold mineralisation, as well as progress existing regions to identify and prioritise drill targets.

A total of 484 gridded soil samples were collected from the Point, Tuscan, Ackbar, Jena and Juba regions, which are currently under review with the results to be released in due course.

With the initial program now complete, SKRR Exploration is now seeking permit approval from the Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment to carry out a diamond drilling campaign later this year.

The exploration work is being carried out pursuant to an option agreement with Eagle Plains Resources, under which SKRR Exploration has the right to earn-in up to a 75 per cent interest in the Olson gold property.

SKRR Exploration (SKRR) is currently steady at C$0.30 per share at 11:21am EDT.
