Cannabis company, SLANG Worldwide (CSE:SLNG) is launching its third-party branded flower products in Oregon.

In February 2020, the company announced an exclusive agreement with Cookies, a third-party brand in Oregon. Under the agreement, SLANG would distribute Cookies’ cannabis products in Oregon, using its state-wide distribution channels.

The branded, pre-packaged flower is now available in a variety of strains that are popular with consumers. The sought-after strains from Cookies’ genetic library include Gary Payton, Gelatti, and other favourites.

SLANG’s CEO, Peter Miller, is very excited to diversify the company’s offerings and enter the flower category through Cookies’ brand.

“Both companies worked hard to get product on shelves less than six months after partnering in Oregon.

“Like each of our other recently-formed strategic partnerships, this launch aligns with our vision of building long-term, profitable relationships with like-minded teams.

“We expect to begin to see a revenue impact from several of these initiatives in the second half of the year,” he said.

SLANG and Cookies are continuing their collaboration, to develop more cannabis products for Oregon’s market. Oregon is one of the fastest-growing cannabis markets in the US, with retail sales of approximately C$1.1 billion in 2019.

This April, Oregon’s retail cannabis sales were 35 per cent higher than those in April 2019. In particular, cannabis flower represented the largest and highest-growth category.

Oregon is a core market for SLANG, where it has established its vape products as leading brands in the region. In April, the company also announced the launch of its District Edibles brand in the state.

SLANG Worldwide (SLNG) remains unchanged and is trading at C$0.18 per share at 10:38am EDT.
