Central Iron Ore (CIO) has released the latest geochemical soil sampling program results from its South Darlot Gold Project.

The New South Wales-based mineral and base metals exploration company conducted the program in April.

The company’s South Darlot Gold Project area is located approximately 320 kilometres northwest of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.

Geochemical soil analysis identified five areas as walk up targets for drill testing.

The targets are labeled Delta, Alpha, Beta, Charlie and Echo.

The Delta, Alpha and Beta prospects have elevated gold coincident with high copper, lead and other typical gold pathfinder elements.

The Charlie and Echo anomalies are in areas which show elevated gold with associated base metals; however, they are on the far west and far east of the sampled areas and are not closed off.

Further soil sampling is planned on the eastern and western margins to better understand the geochemical anomalies in the areas.

In addition, the soil sampling project also identified a pair of areas on the property as prospective lithium targets. The company is planning further sampling to better define the two areas.

Central Iron Ore is down 10 percent, trading at $0.45 at 10:27 am ET.
