Sokoman Minerals’ (SIC) final assays from its most recent drill program have returned its best-ever results.

Data is from the Toronto-based discovery-stage mineral exploration company’s Golden Hope Project in Newfoundland.

The project is operated as a 50-50 joint venture with Benton Resources.

The two companies explored the project’s Killick Zone, Kraken Dyke and Kraken WestDyke during a fall exploration and drilling program.

Drilling returned lithium oxide (Li2O) values up to 2.01 percent from 9.5 metres in multiple spodumene-bearing pegmatite dykes.

Soil geochemistry sampling continues to expand the overall footprint of potential lithium-bearing zones.

The company plans to begin a minimum 5,000-metre Phase 4 drill program early this spring along with continued prospecting, geological mapping, and soil geochemistry to continue through the rest of the year.

“We are very pleased with the latest results from the Golden Hope JV. Killick is turning into an interesting and higher-grade zone, and combined with the soil geochemical results, this means we still do not know the full extent of the lithium and other critical minerals potential on this property,” said Sokoman’s President and CEO, Tim Froude.

“It remains entirely possible that the best mineralization may be as yet untouched, and we look forward to an exciting year at Golden Hope,” he added.

Sokoman Minerals is a discovery-oriented company with projects in Newfoundland.

Sokoman Minerals (SIC) is up 6.38 percent, trading at $0.25 per share at 9:45 am EST.
