Sokoman Minerals Corp. (SIC) has extended gold mineralization during its latest program at the Moosehead Property in Newfoundland.

The property’s eastern trend proved to be prosperous, with a bonanza-grade of gold found at a depth of roughly 245 metres in one hole.

The company also explored a mineralized zone in hole MH-22-463 which is below a modelled mineralized shell for the eastern trend. The hole returned high grades of gold, with one bonanza-grade intercept.

The eastern trend’s overall results confirmed the continuation of mineralization to the north and down dip, and drilling will continue in those directions.

Another 14 holes reported were drilled along the northern edge of the western trend where Sokoman had indications with the potential to expand the zone in that direction.

Most holes in this trend returned low values. The structures remain open to the north where certain anomalies remain unexplained, as well as along strike to the south and down dip. The area will be reassessed over the holiday break for additional testing in 2023.

Drilling at Moosehead will continue with two drills until its holiday break period, which starts December 15th.

Tim Froude, President and CEO of Sokoman, stated,

“Drilling will commence immediately, and we hope to have news before the holiday break in mid-December… we have completed 77,500 metres in phase six with approximately 1,050 samples outstanding at the lab representing all or parts of about 15 holes.”

Sokoman Minerals Corp. (SIC) is down 9.61 per cent trading at $0.23 per share as of 1:59 p.m. EST.
