Sokoman Minerals Corp. (SIC) has provided the latest gold assay results from a new zone on the Moosehead Project in Newfoundland.

The completed analysis of hole MH-22-463 showed a high-grade and bonanza-grade gold intersection on what is now named the 463 Zone. More holes are planned to test this new zone.

Tim Froude, President and CEO of Sokoman, stated,

“The hole flattened a few degrees more than expected and cut through the upper portion of the 463 Zone with the units and veining intersected, comparing well with hole 463.”

The deepest mineralized zone with associated with massive quartz veins and irregular narrow veins and stringers was intersected from 480 metres to 520 metres. Significant quartz veining noted in other parts of the hole will also be assayed but is not expected before the end of the year.

The 463 Zone’s characteristics are different than what earlier drill intersections in the area suggested.

“It is encouraging to see the gold mineralization continuing to depths beyond our previous drilling… Drilling will pause for the holiday break with a planned start-up in mid-January 2023,” Froude said.

The Moosehead Project has five open-ended zones of gold mineralization focused on the central portion of the property. Approximately 20,000 metres remain to be drilled for the sixth phase, but the program will continue beyond that amount.

Sokoman Minerals is a discovery-oriented company with projects in Newfoundland. The company’s primary focus is its portfolio of gold projects along the Central Newfoundland Gold Belt.

Sokoman Minerals Corp. (SIC) is down 1.92 per cent on the day, trading at C$0.255 per share at 11:15 am ET.
