Sokoman Minerals Corp. (SIC) has found more visible high-grade gold from its Moosehead Project, Newfoundland, which resulted in an expansion of 75 Zone.

The 75 Zone has now been drilled far out enough to link it with the property’s main Eastern Trend and Footwall Splay mineralization.

Hole MH-22-418 marked the deepest point of visible gold intercepted during drilling, but assays are still pending results. This hole surpassed the company’s previous mineralization limit point in the Eastern Trend

Results that have been released have shown impressively high grades of gold. One intercept even found over 130 grams of gold per tonne of material, well beyond a “Bonanza” grade.

Drilling proved to be successful in other areas of the property as well.

“We are also pleased to report that the first reconnaissance drilling in the southern half of the property, two kilometres southwest of the main mineralized trends at Moosehead, and designed to test the Valentine Lake structural corridor, has returned significant gold values,” Tim Froude, President and CEO of Sokoman, said.

According to Sokoman, it has plenty of financial support to complete the project’s drilling program with more than $12 million in the treasury, $6 million of which has been allotted to explore the remaining 48,000 metres.

Sokoman Minerals Corp. (SIC) is up 6.45 per cent trading at $0.33 per share as of 12:03 p.m. ET.
