Southern Silver Exploration (SSV) has received approval from the government of New Mexico to begin a six-hole drill program on its Oro property.

Oro is located in southern New Mexico and covers a large mineralized system over 22.3 square kilometres, containing several highly prospective targets.

The program, which is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2021, will test several copper porphyry and copper-gold skarn targets.

The targets were identified based on 3D modelling gathered from mapping, historical drill holes, and geochemical and geophysical studies.

Approval is pending the company’s posting of the required bonds, which is underway and should be completed shortly.

The company’s portfolio includes the Cerro Las Minitas silver-lead-zinc project in Mexico’s Faja de Plata, and the Oro copper-gold project in southern New Mexico.

Southern Silver’s team includes highly experienced technical, operational, and transactional professionals that support its exploration efforts.
