At the time of writing on Wednesday, the price of gold was US$4,211.745, according to data from ADVFN, up from US$4,038.13 per ounce in our July 29th report, tracking US President Trump’s “very good discussions” with Iran on Tuesday as the warring nations vie to hammer out a lasting peace deal. In British Columbia, Osisko Gold Group (TSXV:OGG) also posted strong exploration results at the Proserpine regional target within its Cariboo project, yielding up to 95.93 grams per ton (g/t) gold over 4.60 metres (m), encountering mineralization from near surface to more than 400 m depth, offering investors a reason to believe in the expansion potential of Cariboo’s main multi-million-ounce deposit only 7 km away.
In New Brunswick, Galway Metals (TSXV:GWM), reported assays from 14 diamond drillholes at the Southwest Deposit within its Clarence Stream project, intersecting broad zones of mineralization, including several higher-grade intervals, adding rigor to an upcoming preliminary economic assessment on the nearly 3-million-ounce project.
Finally, in Newfoundland, Rocky Shore Gold (CSE:RSG) discovered gold during ongoing inaugural drilling at the Lane Pond target on its Gold Anchor project, including a highlight of 15.02 m at 2.04 g/t gold, delineating an extensive hydrothermal gold-bearing system, further substantiating the project’s adjacent location to New Found Gold’s robustly mineralized Queensway project.
