At the time of writing on Wednesday, the price of gold was US$4,575.03, according to data from ADVFN, down from US$4,914.32 per ounce in our March 18th report, speaking to news of recent central bank selling to quell currency volatility tied to the war in Iran, as well as a higher probability of interests rates rising to put a cap on war-related inflation.

Investors with project location at the heart of their due diligence might also want to examine the Bousquet project in Quebec, owned by Bullion Gold Resources (TSXV:BGD), where the presence of bonanza-grade mineralization adds heft to the notion that the proximity of several multi-million-ounce producing mines is no fluke.
Next up, we have Nevada King Gold (TSXV:NKG), which secured a C$10 million investment from established producer Centerra Gold (TSX:CG) to advance its Atlanta gold mine project, whose 1.1-million-ounce resource holds the potential to add to the prolific history of Nevada’s Battle Mountain Trend.
Last up, we take a look at Desert Gold Ventures (TSXV:DAU), a micro-cap company pursuing production at its Barani East project in Mali, setting it up for near-term cash flow, as it explores its more than 1.2-million-ounce SMSZ project, also in Mali, near multi-million-ounce properties owned by Barrick and B2 Gold. Additionally, the company is gearing up to explore its Tiegba gold project in Côte d’Ivoire, where a 4.5 km x 2 km Newmont-discovered geochemical soil anomaly awaits testing in the first half of 2026.
