At the time of writing on Wednesday, the price of gold was US$4,410.86, according to data from ADVFN, up from US$4,340.19 per ounce in our September 2nd report, holding steady after an almost week-long downtrend from a US$4,493.15 high.
Investors have been dealing with a pronounced uptrend in the price of oil, as Iran and the United States continue to exchange blows in their bids to control the Strait of Hormuz, leaving the rest of the world to contend with inflationary pressures increasing the potential for higher interest rates.
