Sun Summit Minerals Corp. (SMN) has defined several new high-priority drill targets at its Buck Project in British Columbia.

The company recently completed property-wide field exploration. This work resulted in discovering these targets just outside of the Buck Main mineralized system, which has been the company’s focus of recent drill programs.

The new area has never been tested but planning to drill two initial targets, IRK and Eagle, has begun.

The IRK Target returned anomalous silver, zinc, lead and copper in soil samples together with rock samples with notable amounts of zinc and copper. The features on this trend may represent structurally controlled vein targets.

According to the company, the Eagle Eye Target has potential for porphyry-style mineralization. This target has a 500 metre by 500 metre high-chargeability anomaly associated with a broad zone of alteration.

Additional drill targets are also being prioritized at the Silverthorne, Morice Mountain, Echo and Dungate South zones. Sun Summit has all necessary permits for drilling on these targets and shared it is planning a substantial field program across the Buck Project.

“The potential of these highly prospective new targets substantially enhances the Buck Project with multiple new drill-worthy targets for potential discovery outside of the existing Buck Main zone,” stated Sharyn Alexander, Sun Summit’s President.

Sun Summit Minerals Corp. (SMN) is up 14.29 per cent trading at $0.12 per share as of 11:42 p.m. EST.
