The Canadian markets continue to see a down-dip trend but ended on a slight upward. While most sectors still sit in the red, battery metals have charged themselves back up to the green.
Meanwhile, the US is finally seeing the cost of gas come down with its lowest price since July 2021, with the national average of gas forecasted to sit at $3.00 per gallon by Christmas Eve.

The Canadian dollar traded for 73.26 cents US, compared to 73.00 cents US on Friday.
US crude futures traded $1.32 higher at $75.63 a barrel, while the Brent contract also went up $1.12 to $80.10 a barrel.
The price of gold was down US$5.67 to US$1,787.45
In world markets, the Nikkei was down 289.48 points to 27,237.64, the Hang Seng was down 97.86 points to 19,352.81, the FTSE was up 29.19 points to 7,361.31, and the DAX was up 49.80 points to 13,942.87.
