The Very Good Food Company (VERY) is partnering with Copper Branch, the world’s largest plant-based restaurant franchise.

With over 40 locations across North America, Copper Branch is driven by its mission to serve communities with quality whole foods as an alternative to fast food.

Copper Branch will make The Very Good Butcher’s plant-based products available for purchase from branded in-store freezers.

“This partnership marks Very Good’s second step into the North American food service industry,” said Mitchell Scott, The Very Good Food Company’s co-founder and CEO. The company also recently announced a partnership with Fresh Prep, a Vancouver-based homegrown meal kit company.

“With a shared commitment to helping people eat more consciously,” added Mr. Scott, “the partnership between our companies is a natural one with many opportunities for further collaboration.”

Trish Paterson, CEO of Copper Branch, also commented on the partnership.

“Copper Branch was created to offer the world real food as fast-food for a change, and we are proud to continue that mission today and further our positive impact by partnering with The Very Good Food Company,” she said.

Starting this summer, the quick-service chain will initially set up the Very Good branded freezers in eight Copper Branch locations across Canada.

The Very Good Food Company is an emerging plant-based food technology company that produces nutritious and delicious plant-based meat and cheese products.

The company operates under two core brands: The Very Good Butchers and The Very Good Cheese Company.

The Very Good Food Company Inc. (VERY) is up 0.69 per cent on the day, trading at $4.39 per share as of 2:05 pm ET.
