Here are the highlights:

The stellar quarter extends the company’s track record of uninterrupted profitability since Q4 2023.

The news follows Mako’s first declaration of mineral reserves in its history at its producing Moss mine in Arizona, coming in at an estimated 597,744 ounces of gold and 6.30 million ounces of silver, with production expected to run for 15 years at costs comfortably below current spot prices.

Leadership commentary

“Q2 2026 was another strong quarter of operational and financial performance, with US$31.7 million in adjusted EBITDA and net income of US$0.16 per share on record levels of gold production,” Akiba Leisman, Chief Executive Officer of Mako Mining, said in a statement. “Our industry-leading ROE and ROA, of 36.6 per cent and 23.8 per cent, respectively, demonstrates the profitability of our underlying assets with very efficient capital utilization. We currently have a cash and gold-linked securities balance of approximately US$112 million, which along with operating cash flow from our two mines, is more than sufficient to fully fund our two remaining development projects without the need for any external capital. Over the ensuing weeks, the company plans to unveil its plans for lowering its cost of capital, which could include a pathway for substantial shareholder capital returns.”
