Dynacor Group (TSX:DNG) poured its first gold doré bar at its Galam pilot plant in Senegal on September 30, 2026, complementing the company’s flagship Veta Dorada plant in Peru, which produced 31,907 gold-equivalent ounces in Q2 2026.

With gold recovery increasing since commissioning, the company will now focus on ramping up production to Galam’s nameplate capacity of 50 tons per day (tpd).

This article is a journalistic opinion piece which has been written based on independent research. It is intended to inform investors and should not be taken as a recommendation or financial advice.

The plant is located in Kédougou within Senegal’s main artisanal and small-scale gold mining region, which includes 98% of national sites and 13 of 16 government-permitted corridors.

Contingent on early-stage results, Dynacor will expand the plant into commercial production at a capacity of 300 tpd.

Looking ahead, Dynacor is on time and on budget for a first gold pour at its Svetlana plant in Ecuador in Q4 2026.

Leadership commentary

“We are delighted to highlight our first gold pour on the continent of Africa, marking our transition into a geographically diversified gold processor. Galam is now the first gold processing plant servicing permitted artisanal and small-scale gold mining in Senegal and poised to deliver strong benefits to stakeholders as we showcase our platform in Africa,” Daniel Misiano, President and Chief Executive Officer of Dynacor, said in Monday’s news release.

“We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the experienced team who drove the construction and commissioning of the Galam modular plant. Their tremendous efforts and commitment to excellence accelerated construction of the plant over a 10-month period and with no lost-time injuries,” Misiano added.
