TraceSafe (TSF) has entered into a wearable technology partnership with Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.

The company has developed custom wearable devices in collaboration with Royal Caribbean’s innovation team. The “Tracelet” devices are equipped with long-lasting batteries and RFID modules.

TraceSafe worked closely with Royal Caribbean to design a wearable device that is both comfortable to wear and meets the cruise line’s commitment to sustainability.

“It was the willingness of the TraceSafe team to develop a custom Tracelet™ device that met our requirements for style and design that propelled the partnership forward,” aid Royal Caribbean’s Chief Product Innovation Officer Jay Schneider.

Royal Caribbean will be TraceSafe’s first major customer to enroll in the company’s recycling program that aims at reducing electronic waste by refurbishing used IoT devices and giving them a second life.

Wayne Lloyd, TraceSafe CEO, commented on the partnership.

“We’re proud to be the number one choice in enterprise IoT wearables for cruise lines,” he said. “This partnership with Royal Caribbean highlights our ability to deliver uncompromising IoT solutions on a massive scale.”

TraceSafe is a full suite of real-time location management services and contact tracing solutions enabled through advanced low-power Bluetooth beacons and enterprise cloud management.

TraceSafe’s patented contact tracing bracelet has already been deployed in mission-critical quarantine applications around the world in partnership with leading governments.

In addition to their government work, TraceSafe is developing leading-edge solutions for enterprise, healthcare, education, government, and large-scale venue management.
