Video games remain a wild frontier for advertising and brands are seeing new opportunities to reach players.

A new partnership announced on Thursday between digital-channel network and video-production studio Vertiqal Studios (TSX:VRTS) and Toronto-based gaming platform Ledge.

This team up will work to enhance player experiences through custom integrations in popular games.

Through this partnership, Vertiqal Studios will enable brands to create bespoke in-game maps and branded challenges that not only extend their reach within the gaming community but also solidify their presence in gaming culture.

“As gaming becomes an increasingly popular channel for brand engagement, adding custom maps aligned with leading brands or campaign themes has become a unique way to enhance player experience,” Vertiqal’s CEO Jon Dwyer said in a news release. “Through our partnership with Ledge, we will develop branded maps that resonate with players, adding an immersive layer to marketing campaigns within competitive gaming environments.”

Ledge specializes in developing custom in-game playable maps and integrating brands into popular titles such as Fortnite and Roblox. These maps and branded challenges add an immersive layer to marketing campaigns, driven by player engagement and content creators, and amplified through Vertiqal Studios’ owned and operated channels.

Vertiqal has partnered with brands to provide unique solutions, creative ideation, and content production, along with distribution and amplification through their wide network of over 130 channels on TikTok, Instagram, and Snapchat.

Ledge, an innovative online events platform, integrates competition, monetization, and community engagement into one experience.

Vertiqal owns and operates the largest gaming and lifestyle network on social media in the United States and Canada. The company produces, distributes, and monetizes more than 100 videos per day across its social channels.

Vertiqal Studios stock (TSX:VRTS) opened trading at $0.01 and has fallen 66.67 per cent since the beginning of the year.
