Water Ways (TSXV:WWT) receives C$770,000 blueberries turnkey irrigation project in China

Water Ways’ (WWT) subsidiary, IRRI-AL TAL Agriculture Technology has signed a for a 0.3 sq. km. turnkey blueberries irrigation project in China.

Its subsidiary is expected to deliver and install the project and recognize revenue partially during Q4 of 2022 and partially during Q1 and Q2 of 2023. The total value of the order is C$770,000.

The contract was signed with a Chinese subsidiary of Driscoll’s, one of the world’s largest berry growers, controlling roughly one-third of the market. This client is a recurring customer of Water Ways, having used the company for the successful planning, installation, execution, and delivery of a blueberry project.

Water Ways’ Chairman and CEO, Ohad Haber, said this was the second blueberries contract signed with a recurring major customer in China and the third blueberry project in the region. 

“We continue developing a reputation for being a leader in delivering irrigation systems that are tailor-made for enhancing yield and crop quality for high-value crops and especially blueberries.”

Water Ways is an agro-tech company that specializes in providing water irrigation solutions to agricultural producers. It designs, supplies and installs an irrigation system for application in various agricultural and aquacultural operations.

Water Ways Technologies Inc. (WWT) is up 6.06 per cent, trading at C$0.175 per share at 10:20 am ET.
