Westhaven Gold Corp. (WHN) has discovered additional high-grade gold and silver at the Franz Zone during its drill campaign on its Shovelnose property in British Columbia.

The Franz zone’s highest values were in hole SN22-33 which included 73.51 grams of gold per tonne and 92.37 grams of silver per tonne over 6.2 metres. The company stated this demonstrated the subsurface continuity of bonanza-grade mineralization.

Gareth Thomas, President and CEO, commented,

“We have now drilled greater than 450 gram-metre gold intercepts on three separate zones at Shovelnose gold property… The recent Franz drilling is significant because the mineralization starts at surface, is easily accessible, and bonanza grade.”

Westhaven Gold’s next steps are to establish a resource within the tested vein system at Franz and to potentially collect a larger surface sample, additional shallow drilling, preliminary metallurgical test work and enhanced environmental baseline studies.

The latest assay results are from 22 holes completed on the property. An additional 10 holes are in a lab with assays still pending.

Drilling at the Franz zone will resume soon for step-out drilling to the northwest to test for the extension of the high-grade intercept.

Westhaven Gold Corp. (WHN) is up 10.14 per cent trading at $0.38 per share as of 3:22 p.m. EST.
