World-Class Extractions (CSE:PUMP) subsidiary, Pineapple Express Delivery, is expanding its cannabis delivery services to three new cities in Ontario.

Pineapple Express Delivery (PED) currently offers legal cannabis delivery services for both medical and recreational customers. The company is about to expand its services to the cities of Barrie, Ottawa, and London.

World-Class Extractions CEO, Rosy Mondin, remarked that the ramp-up was in response to retail cannabis store closures. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused many businesses to shut down brick-and-mortar premises, while maintaining services online.

“We’re proud that our recent investment in Pineapple Express Delivery is allowing them to expand to additional cities at a time when their services are greatly needed.

There has been no interruption of PED’s delivery services to date, and it continues to expand services to meet the growing needs of clients.

COVID-19 is having an unprecedented impact on our daily lives, and PED is helping to minimise the impact by providing reliable delivery. Patients and consumers can have confidence that their legal cannabis purchases will arrive at their door in a safe and timely fashion,” she stated.

Despite the closure of physical cannabis retail stores, PED is experiencing a substantial increase in demand, during the COVID-19 crisis.

In order to meet the rising demand, PED is increasing its number of delivery drivers. The company currently employs just over 100, and plans to get to 200. It is likely that some of these drivers will also play a part in the new expansion in Ontario.

World-Class’ share price is up 14.29 per cent, and trading for 4 cents per share, as of 9:32am EST.
