Cannabis company, Radient Technologies (TSXV:RTI) has launched a new brand of cannabis extract products, called bioU.

The scientifically formulated brand uses Radient’s proprietary broad-spectrum cannabinoid extracts and formulations. The company utilises a unique, continuous-flow extraction process, which maintains higher levels of active cannabis compounds.

During processing, Radient is able to reduce the risk of cannabinoid degradation, giving products a longer shelf life.

The company has stated that it will exclusively sell the bioU brand products through Medical Cannabis by Shoppers. The retailer is the medical cannabis subsidiary of Shoppers Drug Mart.

Radient Technologies’ CEO, Denis Taschuk, expressed the company’s excitement at launching the product line with Medical Cannabis by Shoppers.

“This is a key step for the Company in forging a long-term and successful partnership with one of Canada’s most trusted names in retail.

“We look forward to broadening our product offering with Shoppers and giving consumers access to the first branded products from Radient,” he said.

Radient will begin the brand launch by releasing the first bioU label product, the Uspray series of oral cannabis sprays. Medical Cannabis by Shoppers will sell the sprays in three different formulations on its online platform.

The first bioU Uspray formulation is a THC-dominant formula, with 30 milligrams per millilitre of THC and one milligram per millilitre of CBD.

The second formulation is a CBD-dominant formula, with 20 milligrams per millilitre of CBD and one milligram per millilitre of THC.

The third formulation is a balanced formula, consisting of 10 milligrams per millilitre of THC and 10 milligrams per millilitre of CBD.

In the coming months, Radient will expand the range of cannabis products available under the new bioU brand.

Radient Technologies is holding steady and is trading at C$0.18 per share at 11:48am EDT.
