Battery manufacturer Braille Energy Systems (BES) has been designated as a replacement lithium battery supplier to Advance Auto Parts.

Advance is an American provider of automotive aftermarket parts, based in Raleigh, North Carolina. As of July 13, 2019, the NYSE-listed company was operating 4,912 stores and 150 Worldpac branches across Canada and the United States.

Braille Energy Systems’ replacement lithium-ion batteries will now be available for purchase through Advance’s e-commerce website. Customers will also be able to buy them by special order at Advance’s brick-and-mortar store fronts.

The company’s replacement lithium batteries are ultra-lightweight, high-powered, and high-performance products. They were designed specifically with the transport industry in mind, growing from Braille Energy Systems’ legacy of supplying batteries to the professional motorsports sector.

Braille Energy Systems’ President and CEO, Lindsay Weatherdon, commented on the company’s new supplier relationship with Advance Auto Parts.

“We are thrilled to announce this partnership with Advance Auto Parts to provide their customers with the industry’s most reliable replacement lithium-ion batteries.

“This alliance is a tremendous opportunity to provide consumers with greater access to our lithium battery technology through the Advance Auto Parts and independently owned Carquest branded stores networks, including our new F31 Fleet Lite lithium battery and F34 marine lithium battery,” he said.

The announcement that the company’s lithium battery products are now available to Advance customers has seen Braille Energy Systems’s share price increase substantially.

Braille Energy Systems (BES) is up 27.78 per cent and is trading for C$0.12 per share, as of 12:09pm EST.
