Ridgeline Minerals (RDG) has intersected 123.2 g/t silver over 44.2 m at the Selena Project in Nevada.

The result stems from the first four of fourteen drill holes from the recently completed 3,445 m Phase IV drill program at Selena.

The four holes focused on infill drilling within the 2020 mineralized footprint with high-grade silver intercepts in drill holes SE21-024 and SE21-025. Of particular interest to the company is the elevated lead and Zinc mineralization associated with higher-grade silver in both holes.

The Ag-Pb-Zn mineralization may also represent a distal metal zonation pattern to the known copper-gold porphyry system located 1 km west of the Selena property boundary.

Highlight drill intercepts

  • SE21-024: 10.7 m grading 194 g/t silver, 0.3 g/t gold, 2 per cent lead and 1.7 per cent Zinc starting at 191 m true vertical depth
    • Including: 4.6 m grading 421 g/t silver, 0.6 g/t gold, 4.4 per cent Pb and 3.7 per cent Zn starting at 193 m true vertical depth
  • SE21-025: 44.2 m grading 123.2 g/t silver, 0.17 g/t gold, 1.5 per cent Pb and 0.6 per cent Zn starting at 232 m true vertical depth
    • Including: 13.7 m grading 221.1 g/t silver, 0.1 g/t gold, 2.2 per cent Pb and 0.5 per cent Zn starting at 249 m true vertical depth

Chad Peters, Ridgeline’s President and CEO, commented,

“We are very encouraged by the initial infill results at Selena, which returned the highest-grade intercepts drilled to date, confirming the high-grade silver potential of the oxide system. The elevated lead and zinc mineralization in multiple holes is an exciting new development that supports our team’s growing belief that Selena is host to a large mineralized system with potential to discover multiple deposit types across the more than 35 square kilometer project.”

The company also recently contracted Samuel Engineering to oversee a Phase I metallurgy program at the project with two primary objectives:

  1. A complete re-assay of all reported drill and trench assay intercepts from 2020 utilizing a 4-acid digest and ICP-MS analysis. The company took this step when standard assay re-checks noted that silver assays at Selena were commonly under-reported
  2. Ten representative bottle roll composites located throughout the mineralized footprint have been submitted to McClelland Laboratories in Reno. The results will be the first step in confirming the potential viability of a heap-leach processing operation at Selena

Ridgeline is a gold explorer with a 125 km² exploration portfolio across four projects in Nevada.

Ridgeline Minerals (RDG) is up by 1.82 per cent and is currently trading at $0.56 per share as of 12:00 pm ET.
