Tanzanian Gold Corporation (TNX) and its partner, the State Mining Company, have discovered three closely spaced parallel gold-bearing structures.

The new discoveries, collectively known as the Anfield Zone, are located at the Buckreef Gold Company’s project in Tanzania.

They were identified through field mapping and grab sampling, with results as high as 37.52 g/t, 28.55 g/t, and 14.42 g/t, east of the Buckreef Gold Main Zone.

“We continue to be excited by the greenfield exploration potential of the Buckreef Gold land package,” said Stephen Mullowney, CEO of Tanzanian Gold. “The Anfield Zone is our second new discovery in less than 2 months,” he added.

The fresh rock samples, obtained from a deeper artisanal mine shaft, have all the hallmark characteristics of mineralization associated with the Main Zone.

“These discoveries,” remarked Mr. Mullowney, “provide us with continued confidence that Buckreef Gold will develop into a significant gold producing asset.”

Andrew Cheatle, the company’s COO, also commented on the recent results.

“I am thrilled with the work of the Buckreef Gold Team,” he said, “who were keen to ‘get their boots out on the ground’ and explore targets and generate new ones; this has resulted in the discovery of the Anfield Zone – 2.9 kilometres of prospective trend. We will be drilling the new target as soon as practicable.”

Follow-up field work and diamond drilling are planned for later in 2021 and 2022.

Tanzanian Gold Corporation is a mineral resource company whose main projects include the Buckreef Project, Kigosi Project, and the Itetemia Gold Project.

Tanzanian Gold Corp. (TNX) is down 1.56 per cent, trading at $0.63 per share as of 11:18 am ET.
