Appia Energy Corp. (API) has released an update on the first phase of its 2021 drilling program at the Alces Lake project in northern Saskatchewan.

Phase I included mapping and prospecting, stripping, and sampling of key areas over the 12,344-hectare Alces Lake property.

Exploration conducted so far will help to provide data on rare earth mineralization on the property for future modelling and resource estimation.

Since Appia began exploring Alces Lake in 2017, it has discovered 74 rare earth element, gallium, and uranium zones across the property, indicating the potential of the project.

With the first phase completed, the company is ready to mobilize teams to the Alces Lake camp to begin drilling. Appia has planned approximately 5,700 metres of drilling over the property in its largest exploration and drilling program to date.

Nic Guest, Alces Lake project manager, commented on the summer exploration results.

“The quality of the data obtained in the first phase of ground exploration is excellent,” he remarked. “Our understanding of the various occurrences across the property has grown and we have planned our drill program accordingly. “

“Our first phase of 2021 drilling will give us new and important information,” he added.

Appia is fully funded for the 2021 program and has obtained all necessary permits for its exploration activities.

Appia Energy explores uranium and rare earth elements, focusing on its properties in the Athabasca Basin of Saskatchewan and on its Elliot Lake Camp in Ontario.

Appia Energy Corp. (API) is holding at $0.80 per share as of 11:24 am ET.
