Golden Valley Mines (GZZ) announced the company has formally changed its name.

Effective today, the company is now officially known as Golden Valley Mines and Royalties Ltd.
Shareholders passed a special resolution to change the name at the corporation’s Annual General and Special Meeting of Shareholders on June 25.
The Quebec-based mining corporation started trading under the new name on the TSX Venture Exchange at the opening of trading on Friday, July 16.
Golden Valley will continue to trade under its current trading symbol, GZZ.
The company believes the new name better reflects the its focus on acquiring royalties and free carried interests pursuant to strategic partnerships and joint ventures on its previously wholly-owned properties.
As part of the process, the company also launched a new website. Visitors to the current website and emails to existing Corporation addresses will be redirected.
Golden Valley Mines and Royalties is focused on project generation and continues to evaluate opportunities to enhance its mining exploration property portfolio.
Golden Valley Mines and Royalties is unchanged, trading at $6.52 at 11:31 am ET.
