GURU Organic Energy (GURU) is more than halfway finished its nationwide community cleaning initiative.

The company created the GURU Good Crew, created specifically to head this initiative to give back to the environment.

The GURU Good Crew has deployed teams to five sites in British Columbia, six in Alberta, 13 in Ontario, eight in Québec, and two in Atlantic Canada.

Carl Goyette, GURU president and CEO, commented on the initiative.

“Getting closer to nature is a sure way to connect to your own, true nature, and that’s why we are committed to cleaning up our incredible landscape from coast to coast – places we go to recharge and re-energize,” he said.

The teams are halfway to GURU’s goal to host nearly 60 clean-ups across cities and outdoor playgrounds from June to September 2021.

By September, the company expects to host another 25 clean-ups in Toronto, Ottawa, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, and Québec.

GURU Organic Energy has also donated over 35,000 cans of GURU to frontline workers across the country, including healthcare workers, first responders, and COVID-19 testing and vaccination clinic staff.
