Talon Metals Corp. (TLO) has received assay results from three additional drill holes at the Tamarack Nickel Project in Minnesota.

These holes were drilled in the CGO West area, outside of the Tamarack Project’s resource area.

Drilling in the area intersected 4.44 metres of nickel-copper mineralization grading 7.97 per cent nickel and 11.25 per cent copper starting at only 269.13 metres.

This represents the highest nickel and copper grades ever assayed at the Tamarack Project, said the company.

The extremely high grades assayed in the mixed and massive sulphide mineralization are thought to be the result of the nickel and copper sulphides separating from the iron sulphides.

Brian Goldner, VP of Exploration at Talon Metals, commented on the results.

“Grade is ‘king’ in mining, and our recent drill results of 8% to 12% nickel and 11% to 16% copper could be a king maker,” he said. “The more we drill, the more we understand how the Tamarack Nickel Project can be a vital source of strength for the U.S. EV battery supply chain.”

Talon has previously reported 18 drill holes within the CGO West area, all of which have intersected nickel-copper mineralization.

The company conducted a bore hole electromagnetic survey to identify new electromagnetic anomalies in the CGO West area, which further expanded the mixed and massive nickel-copper mineralization in the area.

This release’s results, combined with past results, showcase several exciting characteristics of the CGO West area including its high grades, size, favourable location, and potential to grow.

Talon Metals is a mineral exploration company that operates in the United States and Brazil. Its projects include the Tamarack Project in Minnesota and an interest in the Trairao Project in Brazil.

Talon Metals Corp. (TLO) is currently up 1.72 per cent, trading at $0.59 per share as of 1:20 pm ET.
