Globex Mining Enterprises Inc. (GMX) has acquired 8,871 acres in DesHerbiers Township, Quebec by staking 66 claims.

The property was taken to cover numerous occurrences of low to moderate grade uranium mineralization exposed both in surface trenching and channel sampling, as well as reported in numerous drill holes of the 403 holes drilled to date on the claims.

Several of the areas have been extensively drilled exposing wide zones of uranium mineralization such as the Double S Zone.

The zone was recorded to have 21,504,000 tonnes of indicated resources, and 59,960,000 tonnes of inferred resources.

An area northwest of the Double S Zone referred to as the Middle Zone, reported an updated NI-43-101 resource as 52,027,000 tonnes of inferred resources.

The TJ Zone showed inferred resources of up to 28,662,000 tonnes.

The property holds numerous other areas of uranium mineralization many with higher-grade assays in channel sampling and drill holes.

Many drill intersections within the resources reported display somewhat higher uranium grades.

Exploration on the Des Herbiers property dates back to 1952 when Gérald E. Cooper mapped and detailed the geology of the area in 1957.

The first exploration work performed on the present property was conducted in 1967 when Grandroy Mines Ltd drilled 19 holes for a total of 1,431 metres.

The best results from that drilling returned 0.5 per cent uranium oxide over a core length of 1.19 metres.

Globex Mining Enterprises Inc. (GMX) is up 1.67 per cent and is trading at $1.22 per share as of 2:23 p.m. ET.
